eRAMP Working File Descriptions

eRAMP uses various text files to control the way functions work and record information about eRAMP processes.

System generated files with the extension .FIL are used to control the flow of data importing into eRAMP. Files with the extension .INI identify a location or path to a location. Files with .txt hold results of a process. Each .FIL file contains field positions mapping import data to eRAMP data fields. Each number listed in the file separated by commas equal a field position relative to the .csv file used to import data. Negative number represent a selection from a dropdown list. For example the MOM field listed on the Registration File Template has two options to select from; MOM or Not MOM. Not MOM will show as a -1 in the MOM position followed by the field position number in the ERAMPTMP.FIL file. The following files are the most common files found in the eRAMP working folder or folder where eRAMP.exe file is saved.

  1. ERAMPTMP.FIL  - Registration Template Field Positions for generic template setup
  2. ERAMPEXC.FIL  - Exception Template Field Positions
  3. ERAMPTRN.FIL  -  Transfer of rights Template Field Positions
  4. ERAMPTRN_TEMP.FIL  - Template file named defined in file. Names listed in this file tell eRAMP to use alternate template file names for various loan origination systems. Rather than using the generic file ERAMPTMP.FIL if LendingQB was selected from the template file default LOS system drop down list eRAMP will use a file named ERAMPTMP_1.FIL which contains the field mapping to match LendingQB.
  5. ERAMPTMP_U.FIL - Update Template Field Positions
  6. ERAMPNETW.INI - File contains the location of the eRAMP_Data working directory. The default location for the working directory is c:\ERAMP_DATA for eRAMP version ealrier than 10.5. From versions 1.5 forward the working directory is c:\users\public\eramp_data. The working directory may be moved to any location on the local drive or network. The actual path to the location of the working directory must be entered into this folder.
  7. SFTP_EXITCODE.txt -  When ever files are submitted or retrieved from the MERS SFTP servers upon exiting the connection between the user and MERS eRAMP SFTP communications program reports the status of the connection to MERS. If there is a problem communicating with MERS the error will be stored in the SFTP_EXITCODE.txt file.
  8. ERAMPDAT.INI - used for SQL version of eRAMP. This file contains the SQL server name entered when eRAMPSQL starts for the first time or if the Server name was modified from the Settings>Client setup screen. Depending on SQL server setup this file may also contain a database connection string generated by eRAMP or as entered into the Settings>Client setup screen.
