Problem: When importing a file into any of the eRAMP transaction screen you receive a file not found error message. The file is visible but eRAMP displays a File Not FoundĀ error message after clicking the Import button.
When setting up the Transfer of Rights template file not all fields are required. Much of the data for transfer of rights was originally entered from importing data into 102 registration. If the loan was previously registered through eRAMP the only data required is MIN number, New Beneficiary, Transfer Effective Date (servicing) and Beneficial Transfer Effective Date. New servicer, document custodian, etc. are added based on the Investor setup under Settings>Investors.
Cause: Before a file can be imported into eRAMP the file template must be setup. If there is no file template eRAMP will display the file not found error message.
Resolution: There are import templates for each of the transaction areas where loan data is imported to create or complete a transaction before submitting to MERS. Not all file templates must be completed, however a file template must be filled in for each transaction group you intend to use. A file template is a map to tell eRAMP where to find the data you're importing.
To complete a file template open Settings>[file template] and select the data format type. Either ASCII text comma delimited or ASCII text fixed length is acceptable formats. Comma delimited includes Excel CSV or files with a .TXT extension and data separated by commas.
With the file template screen open enter the appropriate data field positions. Not all fields must be filled in. Yellow are mandatory and white are optional or conditional optional. Enter the field position for each data element contained in your import file. Click apply when finished.
The registration import file template must have all yellow fields entered and white fields entered to match the security instrument. The property number field and property name field are conditional fields. If your street number and name are in the same field only use the property street name field. eRAMP will separate the numbers form the name.
To use the lien position field enter the Mask data to match exactly the data from your import file that identifies a primary from a subordinate lien.
