Must be an active MERS Member

Problem: Loans submitted to MERS are rejected with an error message [ENTITY] must be an active MERS Member.

Cause: One of the entity org id numbers submitted to MERS is an invalid org id.

Resolution: Confirm the org id for each of the new entities being submitted to MERS is a valid org id registered to the entity. MERS lists all registered entities with their org id on the MERS website in the user secure area. Go to www.mersinc.org log in and use the member search feature to find the entity and registered org id.

Gestation Lender
Document Custodian
Originator
Collateral Agent
Mortgage Insure
Government Housing Agency
FHLB/FRB
