eRAMP SFTP stopped working or crashed

SFTP stopped working or crashed

After installing and setting up eRAMP the final step to be tested is communications with MERS. When submitting loans using MERS overnight batch processing you use SFTP communications protocol or for registering loans you can use SFTP or HTTPS. MERS provides all passwords to access their system. MERS also provides the required IP address for access. The following IP Address should be entered into eRAMP on the Settings>Client Settings screen:

Training or test IP Address: 162.67.0.20
Live production system IP Address: 162.67.0.10

MERS uses HTTPS to secure loans submit through their XML online registration system. eRAMP supports XML Online Registration. See XML Online Registration document included on this support center website.

After setting up eRAMP you are ready to submit loans to MERS using their batch processing system. eRAMP includes a build in SFTP program so no additional SFTP software is required to submit loans to MERS for 102 Registration, 103 Update, 202, 203, 206, 207 Transfer of Rights or any other transaction type handled by eRAMP.

Setup loans in eRAMP for submission to MERS and submit any number of transactions. If your upload is successful a "File has been uploaded successfully" message will display. If you receive a "734 Communications error" or "Auth Failed" the password being used to access the MERS overnight batch processing system is incorrect. Please re-verify your password with MERS and review the document "734 Communications Failed" located on this website. If you receive any other communications error you may have an issue with eRAMP accessing MERS due to one of the following:

  1. User needs to have full rights to the eRAMP folder, eRAMP_Data folder, folder where access database is saved or access to SQL database if you are using eRAMP SQL version.
  2. Your browser may have restrictions not allowing SFTP to successfully connect.
  3. Your firewall may have restrictions not allowing SFTP to successfully connect.
  4. Your Anti-Virus software may have restrictions not allowing SFTP to successfully connect.
  5. Confirm you have the following two files in your C:\program files [x86]\eRAMP folder: eramp_sftp.exe and kellermansoftware.net-sftp-library.dll. If you do not have one or both files in your C:\program files [x86]\eRAMP folder submit a ticket requesting current SFTP communications files.

After checking all of the above if you are unable to connect with MERS escalate the issue with our support team.
